Nutrition

We get energy and nutritive elements from food. The importance of food is difficult to underestimate. We feel hungry or thirsty when our organism needs nutrition but not all products are good for our health.
Food quality, its amount, frequency of food consuming, variety of ingredients and their nutritive value, food processing techniques, genetically modified technologies etc. – all these components should be taken into consideration by those who are concerned about healthy eating.
Some eating habits are got in the childhood and youth and it happens that a person finally realizes the harm they do for health but it is difficult to cope with them.
It is common to start a day with a steamy cup of coffee with sugar or milk when its very fragrance is a signal to awakening. Those who follow this tradition cannot wake up without a gulp of this unhealthy drink. At the same time it is much healthier to have some water or eat fruit or make a glass of fresh vegetable juice.
Some habits are very strong and nothing seems to be done with them.
The days pass and we are reluctant to bring dramatic changes into them. People work, have lunch in the favorite place, eat food they are accustomed to, gain weight and move rarely, have dinner late at night, watch TV and a lot of commercials promoting unhealthy products...
We are what we eat as food and drinks is the main "fuel" people need to live and to function properly. That is why nutrition should be well-thought and the rules of healthy eating should be followed by those who choose to stay healthy.
